7 Mission Restaurant Information

Tucked along 7th Street in San Francisco’s South of Market area, 7 Mission Restaurant at 150A 7th St, San Francisco, CA 94103, feels like one of those neighborhood spots you discover while wandering the city and end up returning to more than once. The location itself sits in a lively part of town where office workers, locals, and visitors all cross paths, and that mix of people shows up in the restaurant’s steady stream of customers throughout the day. It’s not a flashy place from the outside, but once you step in, the relaxed diner-style atmosphere makes it easy to settle in, whether you’re grabbing breakfast before work or a casual lunch with friends.

The menu leans into classic American comfort food with a few local touches, and that’s part of what makes the place appealing. Breakfast plates are a big draw here, especially the kind of hearty combinations you’d expect from a traditional city diner. Pancakes arrive fluffy and generous, often filling most of the plate, while egg dishes come with crispy hash browns and toast that’s actually well buttered and warm. On a recent visit, the omelet was packed with fresh vegetables and cheese, cooked just right without being dry, and it paired nicely with strong, no-nonsense diner coffee that kept getting topped up without having to ask.

Lunch options bring a different energy to the menu. Burgers, sandwiches, and simple comfort dishes make up much of the lineup, and portions are satisfying without feeling over the top. The cheeseburger stands out as a reliable choice: juicy, well-seasoned, and served on a toasted bun with fresh lettuce and tomato. It’s the kind of meal that feels familiar in the best way. Several reviews online mention the breakfast burrito as well, which has gained a small following among locals who want something filling before heading into work.

The atmosphere inside is casual and welcoming. Seating is straightforward with booths and counter spots, giving it the classic diner vibe many San Francisco spots have gradually lost over the years. Staff members tend to keep things friendly and efficient, checking in regularly but never hovering. During busier hours the place can fill up quickly, which speaks to the restaurant’s steady reputation among people who work nearby.

Reviews from regular customers often mention the consistency of the food and the approachable prices compared to many restaurants in the area. In a city known for high-end dining and trendy cafes, this spot stands out for being simple, dependable, and genuinely local. The overall experience isn’t about fancy presentation or experimental cuisine; it’s about solid comfort food, a welcoming environment, and a menu that delivers exactly what you expect when you walk into a neighborhood diner in San Francisco.

What People's Say About Place

It’s so delicious! Wonderful beef fried rice noodles just $ 13 and looks like made in the Professional Chef. I never eat it for a long time. Perfect lunch for me!

Authentic Asian cuisine . Both the Chinese style cooked food and the Vietnamese pho taste no different from what you get in Asia. The pho broth was heavenly, especially on a cold day. Guaranteed to warm your stomach and your heart. The reviewers with negative comments about the food obviously have not tasted authentic Asian food, and I say this with authority.

Fun piping hot. Nice rice grain loose and oily texture. But it really lacked in meat portion. Flavorwise was ok, some sweet sauce I added helped

This place is definitely going to be one of my go to spots! This place is not too far from my work and I cannot believe this is the first time I’m coining here. If you love Asian food, you need to come eat here. I mean it’s nothing fancy but the food is good and hits the spot! Came here with my co-workers and funny enough we ordered all the same things. The crispy pork chops with steamed rice or fried rice is bussin (very good)! I give that dish 5 stars! I’m pretty sure all the other dishes are great too. So the way it works is you can order at the counter or at your table. They serve you and then pay at the counter on your way out. The service is great, not a very long wait to get your food. The restaurant looks like a mini cafe but it can probably seat about 40 plus or minus. It’s clean but it can get crowded a bit loud. So there’s plenty to choose from in the menu. You better believe I’m coming back!

Great and tasty food made fresh. Very courteous staff

I love Asian food and I have been dying to try this restaurant for the last month or so but they would not accept my order but today I was able to order food from this restaurant and had it delivered to my residence. The food was so good. The chicken and rice really hit the spot and the sweet and sour soup was delicious. I highly recommend people try this restaurant out. I give them 5 stars

Awesome food in such a convenient location if staying at the hotels nearby. We tried the spring rolls, Vietnamese iced coffe, and the bbq pork vermicelli with egg rolls. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced!

After I refused fake pho at another restaurant I walked 1 mile on bad knee to get to 7 mission. Staff was having lunch until 4 I was too early . They were kind and let me eat I explained hhad to go back to physician office. VERY nice of them and the beef phone was worth the walk. Don't tell anyone they let me in when closed for lunch shhh don't tell. Phone broth was rich and tasty. The staff kind and generous
